Aloha ʻOhana of Pūʻōhala School,
As you may have heard, the Hawai'i Board of Education has agreed to a request for additional staff days without students. This time will be used for staff training and preparation of our campus. School will begin on August 17th with our rotation plan for one group of our students to be in face-to-face instruction on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a different group on August 18th for Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are finalizing the plan to assure proper spacing in our classrooms. You will receive more detailed information pertaining to your child's schedule by Aug.12th. Also, this year our school is a site for free meals for all students. We will be sharing our schedule for breakfast and lunch pick up for those not in face-to-face instruction on a particular day. The student must be a student of our school and be present in the vehicle to pick up breakfast and/or lunch. Thank you for your patience with us. These are challenges and situations very new to us and we continue to work to make our campus and our procedures safe for all students and staff. Mahalo! Ikaika Plunkett, Po'okumu (T.A.) and Traci Ostermiller, Hope Po'okumu (Vice Principal)
