Aloha e Pūʻōhala Students and Families,
Mahalo nui loa for your NOKE I MUA HOLOMUA or RESILIENCY in navigating our first two weeks of school that begun the week of Monday August 17 with technology pick up. If you have any problems with getting connected or with the function of our technology, do not hesitate to reach out for support. Our kumu are dedicated to providing the best quality learning experiences and working diligently to be ʻIMI WAIWAI KOKUA or RESOURCEFUL or in order to be able to deal with challenges and take care of each other. It is critical for all of us to build strong and positive RELATIONSHIPS or PILI ALOHA NA with each other because it leads to healthier families and communities. Our role as caring Kumu and Teachers and Parents and Makua are to teach and model positive relationships to and for our children. It is our ʻAUAMO KULEANA or RESPONSIBILITY to teach our keiki what is right and wrong, to be critical thinkers, and to be accountable for their behavior by providing them opportunities to make mistakes and succeed. It is with great RESPECT and HŌʻIHI that I invite you to be a part of our Pūʻōhala ʻOhana. In addition to our Pūʻōhala support, the Hawaii Department of Education has an 'Ohana Help Desk for technology. If you cannot open the link, please copy and paste this https://sites.google.com/k12.hi.us/ohana-help-desk-portal/ into your address bar. They are able to help with all your technology questions.
