Aloha Pūʻōhala ʻOhana,
I hope this message finds you all in good health! Our staff is also trying to stay healthy. We realize this is still the first week of spring break, but for some reason with this health threat, it feels like it's already been a long time! It appears we will have a couple of additional weeks added on that our students will be away from school. Here are a few updates: 1) Please tune in to the HIDOE press conference scheduled today, Thursday, March 19th at 3:00 p.m. This will be public school-specific information. It will be streamed on our HIDOE Facebook page as well as through news outlets: https://www.facebook.com/HIDOE808 2) SCHOOL IS CLOSED: The campus is closed to any visitors. If you need assistance, please call our office and leave a message (808) 305-5900. We will be checking messages regularly. At this time, students are scheduled to return to school on or around April 7th. As you know, this could change as health concerns arise. 3) Education of students: Please know that we are being innovative in our planning should we need to provide more distance learning (i.e. computer access to teacher and assignments from home) to our students. We will be sending out a computer/internet survey either today or tomorrow. Please fill that out and submit so we are more prepared to assist you in your homes! 4) ANY QUESTIONS: please head to our Pūʻōhala website https://puohala.weebly.com/calendar.html or the HIDOE website http://www.hawaiipublicschools.org/Pages/Home.aspx for accurate and the most up-to-date information. MAHALO FOR YOUR PATIENCE IN THIS TIME OF UNCERTAINTY!!! Pūʻōhala Administration
